 AWESOME Soundbar! September 5, 2010

This soundbar ROCKS! It gets really loud and the sub produces some pretty deep bass. The surround sound effect is surprisingly good. Music, games, and movies all sound GREAT! Love the design, it matches my Samsung LN46C630 really well. I highly recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to deal with all the wires and speakers of a surround sound system.

This is my first sound bar. Wanted to see what I could get without having to run speaker wires.
Very simple and quick set up. Connected it to a 1 year old Samsung LN52A650 LCD via the included toslink and placed the speaker right in front of the TV which is sitting on its stand. No issue with it being too tall and blocking the TV from receiving input from the remote. The soundbar is light thin yet very powerful. Wireless s/w synched up immediately but it was kinda hard to tell if it was actually working so that says something about the s/w power.
Nice remote control. Like the feature where the sound goes lower when ads come on
Its recommended that you disable the TV speakers. Trouble is the TV displays a "not available message" when you change volume with the TV remote. Not a major issue as the volume changes. The message does not come up when you use the soundbar remote.
Occasionally the connection will change for no reason from Audio 1 to Audio 2 (which has nothing connected to it). Again something Samsung needs to fix with firmware.
All in all I would recommend this unit if you want to enhance your basic sound. Not surround sound but what do you expect for $300

My overall satisfaction is high praise. It blows away the standard television speaker sound. I have two other surround sound systems where we watch movies in the house but this was purchased in order to amplify and clarify the standard TV sound. It does a great job at that after you are able to sync the visual speech on TV with that of the actual sound. The only flaw in the system is the lack of bass. All my other surround sound systems can rumble the room and the house. This just ups the bass ever so slighly. If you want a movie surround sound feel then this system is not for you. If you want to watch TV and movies with more clarity and feel but you don't want to let your neighbors hear, than purchase this system.

cannot go wrong for the price.
we have it in an area where we cannot afford to waste any space. we did not need surround, just more volume. this is great for what we paid.

Didn't sound like surround. Sounded like other reviews about sounding like it was coming from a cave. Save your money and buy a true surround sound.
